Christine FournierDirector of Workforce Development
Christine (Chris) Fournier joined the Operation New Hope team in January of 2019. As the Director of Workforce Development, she oversees the Career Development department which provides soft skill and vocational training for our clients. She is also directs the Employment Services team where job coaches work to match clients with living wage positions, assist with professional resume writing, job retention and business development in the community. In 2019, the Employment Services team was able to place 302 returning citizens into employment which is an all time high for Operation New Hope.
Chris began her career as a teacher in early childhood education, where her leadership skills attracted her to administration. She transitioned to the nonprofit sector and quickly worked her way up the ranks at Goodwill Industries to become Senior Program Manager, overseeing 7 programs in northern Louisiana. She graduated from Northwestern State University with a Bachelor’s in Family and Consumer Sciences. She comes from a strong military family and has lived all over the country and overseas. Chris moved to Florida to be closer to family.
Chris has two wonderful children and one grandchild. She enjoys spending time with her family and her dog. She loves the Florida weather and its beaches. She also enjoys gardening. She has always been a strong advocate about helping those in need and believes that her work at Operation New Hope is a wonderful way to do that professionally.
