Celebrating Second Chance Month with Boeing

Rhiannon Sherrard and Ingrid Morales from Boeing present grant to ONH President Reggie Fullwood

The White House proclaimed April 2023 Second Chance Month, reaffirming the importance of helping incarcerated individuals reenter society. Here at Operation New Hope, we are thrilled to celebrate Second Chances with our partners at Boeing. During our weekly Ready4Work graduation ceremony, Boeing awarded Operation New Hope with a $100,000 grant to provide more second chance opportunities. Funding will be used to support our comprehensive reentry services, including rental assistance, educational courses, food assistance and employment training.

“Second Chance Month is a time for us to encourage and embrace the possibility of growth and change by empowering people with meaningful opportunities for success,” said Ingrid Morales, Boeing Global Engagement Community Investor. “Operation New Hope provides essential services that bridge returning citizens to families and communities, fostering safe and successful transitions.”

Boeing is committed to innovating and investing in efforts that build, enhance and contribute to the communities where their employees live and work. As a sustainable, healthy, dynamic and global company, they are a force for change in our world, and they work every day to bring about that change for the communities that need it most.

At Operation New Hope, we are grateful for Boeing’s help in supporting people as they navigate reentry and overcome the multitude of barriers they face as they seek employment. Providing these resources not only helps individuals returning from prison, but also serves as an important economic need by matching qualified, vetted employees with industries in need of workers, as well as, an important community safety measure, by helping to stabilize neighborhoods and prevent further crime.

Thanks to Boeing for being a Second Chance Supporter!
