Celebrating Women in Construction

Since 1998, Women in Construction Week has celebrated and promoted the role of women in the construction industry, and our friends at Turner Construction are celebrating by donating 30 pairs of new women’s work boots and hundreds of new safety vests to support our Ready4Work female clients entering the construction industry. Turner’s team stopped by our Ready4Work Orlando program location on Monday to deliver the first half, and then joined our weekly graduation in Jacksonville on Friday to complete the donation. The boots also included inspiring messages of hope meant to encourage women entering the field!

Turner Construction is committed to making a difference in the lives of their people, customers, and community. This commitment shows through their generous support of our mission. Established in 1984, Turner’s Orlando office is proud to serve the communities of Orlando, Jacksonville, Gainesville and Tallahassee. They have a strong presence in Central Florida and have established lasting relationships with subcontractors, clients and community partners throughout the region.

We extend our sincere thanks to Turner Construction for their generous donations and for their continued support of our mission to reconnect people to the workforce, their families and our communities after involvement with the justice system. Thanks Turner for being Second Chance Supporters!
