Chief Operating Officer Honored with Emergent Leader Award

Operation New Hope’s Chief Operating Officer Sytisha Claycomb has been selected to receive the Dr. Rita G. Greer Emergent Leader Award for her excellent communication and leadership skills. The honor will be presented by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. at the Centennial Salute to Women Entrepreneurs and Emergent Leaders awards ceremony on October 25, 2022 at Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky. We couldn’t be more proud of her achievement!

Sytisha joined the Operation New Hope leadership team in July 2022 and has already begun to make a powerful impact on the organization. With more than ten years of experience leading and managing multifaceted organizations focused on young adults and marginalized populations, Sytisha oversees operations of our expanding statewide reentry network. She is a highly motivated executive, proven self-starter, and servant leader who excels in diverse environments. Her experience in strategic planning, operations management, HR management, and diversity, equity, and inclusion have prepared her for this leadership role.

Sytisha is a native of Louisville, Kentucky and earned her B.A. in Psychology at the University of Louisville and M.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Eastern Kentucky University. She is currently working on her Doctor of Education in Leadership at Spalding University and plans to graduate in 2023.
