Terri Wall

Terri Wall, PhD is a native of Jacksonville growing up in the beaches area. She is a licensed psychologist and for the past 10 years has been the Director of Behavioral Health for St. Vincent’s Family Medicine Residency Program. In this role she teaches new physicians about treating mental health conditions in primary care, doctor-patient communication, and physician wellness. In 2012, she started a Fellowship for early career psychologists to train them in practicing integrated care. Early in her career, she was the Director of the Counseling Center at JU, a visiting professor at UNF, and ran her own practice. Dr. Wall has severed on the board of Mental Health America, was an active member of the JCCI inquiry on Mental Health serving as co-chair for two sub-committees during the implementation stage of the JCCI inquiry. Dr. Wall is an advocate for integrated care and for reducing the stigma associated with mental health.

Dr. Wall graduated from the University of Florida in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She received a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from UNF, a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the Pennsylvania State University, and completed her internship at Towson University in Baltimore. In 1998, after completing her education, she returned to Jacksonville.

In her free time Dr. Wall enjoys playing tennis with her husband, reading, walking the beach, and training her new puppy (hopefully soon to be therapy dog.) She has raised four (mostly grown) children and is very proud of their accomplishments.

"I decided to join the board of Operation New Hope because I believe strongly in their mission to give people a second chance. The organization works to help the whole person through resources that address a person's basic needs and allow them to be active contributing members of their communities."
