Carlos Irizarry has been part of the Operation New Hope team since April 2021. He has served as a Case Manager attending to all the client’s needs and supporting them with their efforts to reintegrate into society successfully. Carlos is now our Central Florida Regional Director. Together with a team of Case Managers, Job Coaches, Mental Health Therapists, and a Career Development Instructors, they continue our efforts to maximize a successful second chance for our clients through the Ready4Release, Ready4Work, and Ready4Success programs.
With over 15 years in manufacturing management experience, Carlos returned to school and pursued a degree in psychology and Christian counseling. This path led him to a position as a substance abuse counselor in Florida’s Lawtey Correctional Institution, where he served for several years before joining the Salvation Army to assist the homeless population. His experience produced a yearning to reach out and help the underserved population.
Carlos completed a BS in Psychology at Liberty University and a Master’s in Divinity from Regent University. Carlos enjoys watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and going into the prisons to minister to the population through a local prison ministry.
We provide support, life and job skills training for people affected by the criminal justice system and place them in employment that offers a sustainable quality of life.
