Florida Capital Bank Donates Welcome Home Hygiene Kits

Every week at Operation New Hope, we welcome people back from jail or prison with nothing more than the shirts on their backs. That’s why we are so thankful to our good friends at Florida Capital Bank for their generous donation of hygiene products that will help welcome our clients back to the community. These daily essentials will meet not only our clients’ basic needs but will also help them transition more effectively, leading to better reentry outcomes.

Florida Capital Bank, a nationally chartered community bank headquartered in Jacksonville, is again the presenting sponsor for the Hope Starts Here 5K and One-Mile Fun Run on Saturday, May 20, 2023. FLCBank was founded to provide solutions that support the financial success of businesses and their owners. After learning about the positive outcomes of Operation New Hope’s programs for job seekers and employers alike, members of the bank’s community engagement team toured the organization’s offices to garner a stronger understanding of their work. That meeting led to a partnership that bank leaders hope will encourage other businesses to give back to the neighborhoods they call home.

Proceeds from the race will support Operation New Hope’s efforts to build safer communities, stronger economies, and more stable families through workforce training, mental health services and job placement for people affected by the criminal justice system.

“We are honored to work with Operation New Hope. This event represents a step forward in making Jacksonville’s economy one where second chances are celebrated every day,” said Mark Johnson, President, and CEO of FLCBank. “Through our volunteer efforts like this event, FLCBank provides meaningful support to organizations who help make the communities where we live and work stronger and better for everyone.”

Registration for the Hope Starts Here 5K is still open through 1st Place Sports – sign up today!

Thanks so much FLCBank for being Second Chance Supporters!
