Second Chance Supporter – Ashley HomeStore

For more than 20 years, Operation New Hope has been helping people with a criminal history get the support and training they need to connect with living-wage work and break the cycle of incarceration and poverty. But we are not doing this work alone. Creating opportunities to realize second chances requires support from employers who care about the community and who are committed to hiring our Ready4Work clients.

We are thrilled to spotlight one of our outstanding Employment Partners – Ashley HomeStore – for being a Second Chance Supporter.

Operation New Hope’s partnership with Ashley HomeStore started in March 2020, and since that time, they have hired 18 of our Ready4Work graduates. By providing living-wage career opportunities for our clients, Ashley HomeStore is truly living up to their corporate commitment “to help build and restore communities by providing resources needed to succeed each and every day.”

Ashley HomeStore is spreading that positivity here in Jacksonville. Kedra C. is one of the many Ready4Work graduates now working at Ashley HomeStore. “I have been there for several months now, and I love it. The benefits and people are awesome. In all my years of working, I’ve never worked at a place where the company cares so much.” Click here to read Kedra’s Voices of Hope story.

Ashley HomeStore’s dedication to the belief that “enriching lives enriches us” is embedded at every level of the companies’ help NOT hype approach! Christopher Caprio, President of SFTF, LLC d/b/a Ashley HomeStores said, “I personally believe in second chances because I was given a second chance and our company embodies that belief. We know that it’s critical to get involved in our community through programs like Operation New Hope and also support community involvement by working with organizations who do great things for people who need it most. This includes Cure Violence, Habitat for Humanity, MaliVai Washington, Salvation Army, Bridges to a Cure, Giving Closet, K9 for warriors, Boys and Girls Club and many more.”

Ashley HomeStore is a licensee of Ashley Furniture Industries (AFI), and has been in the Jacksonville area since 2004, then expanding to Brunswick GA shortly thereafter. Their presence across the First Coast is comprised of five Ashley HomeStore locations, a large distribution center, and corporate office.

Thank you, Ashley HomeStore! Thank you for being a company that cares about our community and for being a Second Chance Supporter!
