Second Chance Supporter – Miller Electric

As we continue our celebration of Second Chance Month this April, we are happy to spotlight Miller Electric Company as one of our Second Chance Supporters. The company has not only been a valued employment partner since 2012, but Miller Electric is generous financial supporter of Operation New Hope as well.

Miller Electric is committed to helping people make the most of their second chances after paying their debt to society and has hired 11 of our Ready4Work graduates. Clients placed with Miller Electric report what a great company they are to work for in that they provide competitive pay and training to advance careers in the electrical field.

Check out this great news piece featuring Ready4Work graduate Aaron Ford who has been working at Miller Electric for several years now. He shared with News4Jax that he was able to vote in his first presidential election in 2020 because of the support he has received at Miller Electric and Operation New Hope.

Miller Electric is also a generous supporter of our work. They sponsored our inaugural Mulligans for Hope golf tournament last fall and are proud sponsors of our upcoming Hope Starts Here 5k on May 21, 2022. We are so thankful for their continued support and their commitment to improving our community.

Founded in 1928, Miller Electric Company has grown from a local electrical contractor to a national company with over 3,000 employees. From their headquarters in Jacksonville, FL, and their network of 18 branch offices, they provide comprehensive electrical and technology solutions to local and national clients in a diversified range of industries. The company has expanded its services beyond traditional electrical contracting to include systems integration, connected communities, building automation, business continuity, and energy & sustainability services. Miller Electric Company is a family business that remains committed to its stewardship culture and reinvesting in the long-term health and sustainability of its communities.

Miller Electric’s vision is to power possibilities of a more connected future and they are doing that by connecting our Ready4Work graduates with opportunities. They understand their responsibility as corporate citizens and invest in the long-term health and sustainability of their industry, our community, and our world. Miller Electric has proven they really understand what it means to be a Second Chance Supporter! We are thankful for their partnership and look forward to working together to help people make the most of their second chances.

We invite you to join us in celebrating Second Chance Month this April – a nationwide effort to raise awareness of the collateral consequences of a criminal conviction, and unlock second-chance opportunities for people who have completed their sentences to become contributing citizens. Follow our stories spotlighting second chances all month long. #SecondChanceMonth
