Good neighbors can be hard to come by, but we are lucky to have really great neighbors next door at Strings Sports Brewery. And we are so thankful for their support!
During the month of September, Strings donated 5% of their beer sales to support Operation New Hope’s mission to provide training and assistance to people returning from incarceration and match them with living wage work.
But their generosity doesn’t stop with just supporting us. Strings has been working with Feeding Northeast Florida during the pandemic to help feed elderly people who cannot leave their homes. They have donated over 250 meals to frontline workers. They have also been providing free CPR & AED training for the community, screening closed to 25 people and teach 35 others hand-only CPR. Even as they too are struggling as a restaurant during the pandemic, they have donated closed to $5,000 to local charities, including Walk Off Charities and Who We Play For. During the month of August, Strings put their money towards buying sanitation supplies for local schools.
General Manager Kaiti Adeeb told us, “We’re doing everything we can do to help others.”
Thank you Strings for your generous donation, for being great neighbors, and for making some really delicious food! Be sure to drop by and let them know we said hello. https://stringssportsbrewery.com/
The Rabbi Harold Kushner once said:
“The happiest people I know are people who don’t even think about being happy. They just think about being good neighbors, good people. And then happiness sort of sneaks in the back window while they are busy doing good.“
Our good neighbors at Strings Sports Brewery exemplify good people. We wish them them much happiness in return.
We provide support, life and job skills training for people affected by the criminal justice system and place them in employment that offers a sustainable quality of life.
