Thanks to Wells Fargo for Continued Support

Operation New Hope is excited to announce that Wells Fargo is continuing to support second chances with their latest grant of $25,000. Funding from Wells Fargo will be used to provide more affordable housing options to our clients. We are so thankful for this generous support of our life-changing programs that reconnect justice-involved individuals to the workforce, their families, and the community.

Wells Fargo is committed to building an inclusive, sustainable recovery for all through a focus on opening pathways to economic advancement, championing safe, affordable homes, empowering small businesses to thrive, and enabling a just, low-carbon economy. People returning from incarceration face a multitude of barriers, and access to safe, affordable housing is chief among the obstacles. According to the Prison Policy Initiative, “formerly incarcerated people are almost 10 times more likely to be homeless than the general public.” It is hard to build a successful life without a place to call home, but this necessity is often out of reach for formerly incarcerated people. Barriers to employment, combined with explicit housing discriminations, have created a housing crisis for this vulnerable population. Our Ready4Work program addresses these issues by providing immediate housing assistance to people impacted by the criminal justice system to alleviate acute homelessness.

Over the last 23 years, Operation New Hope has proven our return on investment, and the valuable commitments from generous donors like Wells Fargo have helped elevate us to the status of a national leader in the field of reentry. Their dollars have helped us leverage even more government funding, allowing us to serve more. We extend our deepest thanks to Wells Fargo for their continued support!
