Operation New Hope is pleased to announce that The Jim Moran Foundation has provided an emergency response grant in the amount of $30,000.00 to support our staff and the clients we serve with hunger relief, housing, child care, and loss of employment and income as a result of the global pandemic created by the Coronavirus. The intent of this grant is to provide the most immediate intervention to those who are being affected by this unprecedented health crisis.
Established in 2000 by automotive pioneer Jim Moran to ensure his philanthropy would endure beyond his lifetime, the mission of The Jim Moran Foundation is to improve the quality of life for the youth and families of Florida through the support of innovative programs and opportunities that meet the ever-changing needs of the community.
The Foundation has invested more than $140 million in education, elder care, family strengthening and youth transitional living initiatives with efforts currently focused in Broward, Palm Beach and Duval counties.
This generous gift follows The Jim Moran Foundation’s longstanding commitment to our organization. “We are so thankful for the Foundation’s support over the years,” said Kevin Gay, Founder/CEO of Operation New Hope. “Because of their financial contributions, they have helped Operation New Hope provide job training and assistance to people returning from incarceration. Their support of our mission is now more critical than ever to help bridge the gap in the lives of those we serve and their families who depend on them.”
We provide support, life and job skills training for people affected by the criminal justice system and place them in employment that offers a sustainable quality of life.
