Operation New Hope welcomes Darryl Matthews and Tonya Jackson as the new Career Development Instructors for the Ready4Work program. Both bring with them a dedicated history of serving as teachers, mentors, and coaches and have developed many skills which they will share with our organization’s clients.
Mr. Matthews, a former service member of the army, has a firm belief in accountability and consistency and knows that simple communication is key. After working with youth in a group home and as a teacher and case manager within the juvenile justice system, he says he looks forward to working with our diverse population of clients. He is eager to show them that he genuinely cares by being patient, creative, and understanding.
Ms. Jackson, a former instructor at FSCJ and Pathways Charter school and addiction counseling and prevention specialist, shared that she has a passion and zeal for helping people succeed in life. “I have the opportunity to look through a different lens to see each client’s potential from the start, and I hope to share my vision of who the client is capable of being. There’s so much negativity in the world. If I can shine my light to spread joy, then I look forward to doing so.”
We are thrilled to have them both as part of the team and know they are a great addition to our Ready4Work program.
We provide support, life and job skills training for people affected by the criminal justice system and place them in employment that offers a sustainable quality of life.
