Operation New Hope practices the “Housing First” model in our reentry programs. This approach is guided by the belief that people need basic necessities like food and a place to live before attending to anything less critical, such as getting a job, budgeting, or attending to substance use issues.
That’s why we partner with transitional housing vendors in the community to provide safe, stable housing for our clients to focus on training, sobriety, securing living wage employment, and developing the healthy habits needed to be successful upon reentry.
*The cost of the background check is $26 and is the sole responsibility of each transitional housing vendor applicant. Additionally, if a alert comes back on the background check, then each applicant could incur up to an additional $29 in charges.
We provide support, life and job skills training for people affected by the criminal justice system and place them in employment that offers a sustainable quality of life.
