Leslie Jean-Bart

Leslie Scott Jean-Bart is an attorney and fifth generation Jacksonville native who helps injured consumers obtain justice, as a partner at Terrell Hogan. Since 2000, her practice has focused on plaintiff personal injury law.

She also volunteers as an Attorney Ad Litem and Educational Surrogate for foster children.

Her life-long interest in public service was inspired by her late grandmother, Mary L. Singleton, the first black and first woman elected to Jacksonville City Council. Leslie was appointed by Mayor John Delaney to the Better Jacksonville Plan Citizens Oversight Committee in 2001. She was nominated by the State House of Representative’s Democratic Leader and appointed by Governor Rick Scott to the Florida Elections Commission in 2012. In 2013, Chief Judge Donald Moran appointed her to the Jacksonville Ethics Commission. She returned to serving on the Jacksonville Ethics Commission in 2017 as an appointee of Public Defender Charlie Cofer. In her free time, she enjoys attending community events with her husband, Rodney, and their daughter, Laila.
