Hope Starts Here 5k = Great Event!

On a beautiful May morning, runners and walkers of all ages gathered in historic Springfield to race for HOPE. Operation New Hope was thrilled to welcome over 350 participants to our inaugural Hope Starts Here 5k on May 21, 2022. After a competitive 1-mile Fun Run and 5k event, participants recharged with Breakfast and Brews at our neighbors Strings Sports Brewery and also with delicious ice cream cones from other neighbors at Springfield Scoops. We are so thankful to our title sponsor Florida Capital Bank for ensure that this event was a great success!

Through their community involvement efforts, Florida Capital Bank provides meaningful support to organizations that help to make the communities we live and work in stronger and better for all of our citizens.

Because of the great support from our sponsors and all the participants, Operation New Hope raised over $10,000 from the event. Proceeds from the race will be used to provide workforce training, mental health services, and job placement assistance for people affected by the criminal justice system.
