Clorinda Sanders transitions from Ready4Work Instructor to Business Development Specialist

Clorinda Sanders lights up with enthusiasm when talking about her new role as Business Development Specialist at Operation New Hope.  Her passionate belief in the organization’s mission is contagious, and perfectly suited for growing partnerships with employers in our community.

“As a big believer in second chances,” she shares, “I am committed to helping our clients flourish and attain their goals. And I am just so thrilled to be able to market our awesome Ready4Work program to employers and share the success of our clients.”

Clorinda’s commitment to helping people achieve sustainable employment is evident in her career history.  Beginning as an Employment Services Specialist and Program Coordinator of a summer youth employment program at the Jacksonville Urban League, she trained youth and adults in life and job skills and brokered employment partnerships.  Wanting to work specifically with returning citizens, Clorinda joined Operation New Hope in 2012, working as a Career Development Counselor instructing clients enrolled in the Ready4Work program. “I loved working closely with the clients, seeing them make the most of their second chances.”

Now in her new position, Clorinda has hit the ground running.  “In one of my first outside meetings, I was delighted to negotiate and partner with a former client who is now Manager of Human Resources. That is a true testament to the success of our program!”
