Operation New Hope is thrilled to announce an exciting new pilot partnership with Goodwill Industries of North Florida, which will bring our Ready4Work Career Development training to Putnam County. Both Operation New Hope and Goodwill share a deep commitment to breaking the cycle of incarceration and empowering individuals to succeed. Goodwill’s established presence and deep roots in Putnam County provide a valuable foundation for launching Ready4Work’s career-focused training programs. Together, we’re working to offer job skills training, life skills education, and employment support services that will provide individuals with the tools they need to build stable, rewarding lives after reentry.
“Partnering with Goodwill in Putnam County is a powerful way for us to reach more people in need and help them develop the skills and resilience required for lasting employment,” says Operation New Hope’s President & CEO Reggie Fullwood. “We believe this pilot program will serve as a model for collaborative reentry efforts across the region.”
Ready4Work’s program in Putnam County will include comprehensive job readiness training that covers essential skills like resume building, interview preparation, and workplace etiquette. Additionally, participants will have access to hands-on training opportunities that prepare them for skilled trades and careers with sustainable wages. With the support of Operation New Hope’s and Goodwill’s dedicated teams, clients will set and work toward individualized career goals, receive assistance with transportation and housing, and gain access to a vast network of potential employers. The new initiative also incorporates Ready4Work’s approach to personal and professional development through its proven soft skills curriculum, which builds confidence, resilience, and teamwork. This holistic training ensures that participants aren’t only prepared to secure jobs but are ready to thrive in new roles, manage workplace relationships, and succeed in the long term.
Launching Ready4Work in Putnam County represents a significant milestone for Operation New Hope’s mission to support successful reentry for returning citizens. Rural communities face unique challenges when it comes to reentry support, often due to a lack of accessible programs and employment opportunities. By extending Ready4Work’s reach into Putnam County, we’re actively working to bridge these gaps, helping individuals break free from the cycle of recidivism and find meaningful employment.
This pilot initiative wouldn’t be possible without the power of community partnerships. Goodwill’s facilities in Putnam County will serve as the home base for training sessions, while their local connections and resources will enhance participants’ opportunities for employment and support within the area. Additionally, Operation New Hope will continue to work closely with community leaders and employers to ensure that the program meets the unique needs of Putnam County residents.
Stay tuned for updates as we continue to build momentum, and thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey. With each new partnership, we get closer to a future where every returning citizen has the opportunity to succeed.
We provide support, life and job skills training for people affected by the criminal justice system and place them in employment that offers a sustainable quality of life.
