Meet Sytisha Claycomb – Operation New Hope’s New COO

We are thrilled to announce that Sytisha Claycomb has joined the Operation New Hope team as our new Chief Operating Office. With more than ten years of experience leading and managing multifaceted organizations focused on young adults and marginalized populations, Sytisha will oversee operations of our expanding statewide reentry network. She is a highly motivated executive, proven self-starter, and servant leader who excels in diverse environments. Her experience in strategic planning, operations management, HR management, and diversity, equity, and inclusion have prepared her for this leadership role.

Sytisha previously served as the Director of Program Operations at the Women’s Center of Jacksonville and the Facility Administrator at a 120-bed juvenile residential, mental health, and substance abuse facility. Prior to moving to Florida, she worked as the Executive Administrator and Public Protection Coordinator for Youth Detention Services in Louisville, Kentucky. She served as an advocate for juvenile justice reform efforts in collaboration with the Annie E. Casey Foundation on behalf of Louisville Metro Government.

Sytisha is a native of Louisville, Kentucky and earned her B.A. in Psychology at the University of Louisville and M.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Eastern Kentucky University. She is currently working on her Doctor of Education in Leadership at Spalding University and plans to graduate in 2023. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and enjoys spending time with loved ones. Her purpose and passion on this earth align with having a servant leadership heart. It is her belief that all people are deserving of redemption, as well as second, third, and sometimes fourth chances.
