Christa is a Mental Health Therapist and licensed Clinical Social Worker who joined the Operation New Hope team in Jacksonville in October of 2022. She recently accepted the invitation to move to our new Tampa location to continue her work in mental health services and to help launch the Ready4Work program in the Tampa Bay community.
Christa’s goals as a Mental Health Therapist include helping clients recognize and embrace their unique strengths, and building trusting relationships with them. She believes that recognizing their strengths will assist clients in finding solutions and setting goals for the future. Christa emphasizes that trust is built over time and acknowledges that vulnerability can be difficult initially.
By meeting with clients, Christa’s impact is profound. She has helped numerous individuals find their path to recovery and personal growth. Clients often express that her compassionate approach and dedication have been instrumental in their healing process. Her efforts in conducting group therapy and art therapy have provided clients with a safe space to express themselves and find support among peers. Additionally, her work in facilitating Smart Recovery meetings has offered essential tools and strategies for those battling substance abuse, contributing significantly to their recovery journeys.
A fun fact about Christa is that she has an identical twin sister!
