Meeting the Moment

The team at Operation New Hope is rising to Meet the Moment. The essential services we provide our clients – transitional housing, transportation, job training and placement, mental health counseling, connection to social services – are more important now than ever. Providing these resources not only helps individuals returning from prison, but also serves as an important economic need by matching qualified, vetted employees with industries in need of workers, as well as, an important community safety measure, by helping to stabilize neighborhoods and prevent further crime.

At Operation New Hope we have a team of dedicated staff who are committed to serving our community. When the pandemic struck, our employees began looking for new ways to help and proved to our clients and to the community that we will continue our mission. Since the beginning of April 2020, our team has been:

  • Adapting programming to keep our staff, clients, and community safe by development of Ready4Work-Light
  • Maintaining lifelines with the vulnerable population we serve by reaching out to our clients by phone, text, and email 2496 times
  • Virtually supporting our clients by providing 158 telehealth counseling sessions
  • Continuing to connect clients in full-time, living wage work by making 43 unique employment matches and 3 re-matches despite a shifting economy
  • Reaching out to inmates preparing for release by making 90 pre-release connections
  • Providing safe homes for our clients at our partnering transitional homes

Even as the world is changing, we are truly changing lives! And we know we are making an impact based on what our clients are saying:

“Even though we are going through the pandemic, I am so thankful for Ready4Work team constantly checking on me and my well-being.” – Casey

Remote learning may be challenging at times, particularly for the inexperienced. However, my case manager constantly checks in on me and my two young children, not only to encourage my self-sufficiency, but also to help promote and encourage their learning. We are STILL hard at it!” – Catherine

I just wanted to say thank you for all your help. Operation New Hope did everything they said they were going to do, and I feel like I’m headed in the right direction now. Y’all have helped me change my way of thinking and my decisions with things I choose to use to cope.” – Terry

Keep up the great job you’re doing. Thanks for all your help. I moved to Georgia and am doing great thanks to you guys! Thanks again and God Bless!” – Kent

I called my job coach about my job today, she was so happy for me. YES! I got the job. Thanks for everything you and all the staff at Operation New Hope do. You all gave me a Second Chance. Thanks!” – Danta

Operation New Hope has given me more confidence than ever. And I will always be a part of Operation New Hope. I’m doing really good – working on big things right now. I can’t wait.” – Crystal
