We are so pleased to announce that one of Operation New Hope’s very talented and longtime team members, Melani Albritton, has been promoted to Workforce Development Director. Melani started working at Operation New Hope in 2009 as an intern and has worked her way up the ranks, developing her exceptional leadership and training skills along the way.
After assisting every aspect of our Ready4Work team as an intern to increase productivity, Melani worked as our Intake Specialist screening and enrolling clients in our Ready4Work program. Melani then took on additional duties as our Youth Development Specialist. In this capacity, she recruited youth and their parents into our Breaking the Cycle program and provided exceptional case management services. In 2017, Melani transitioned to Supervisor of Recruitment & Intake overseeing recruitment and updating policies and procedures for maximum efficiency. At the beginning of 2020, Melani was again promoted to Program Services Manager working will all teams to assure understanding of our processes and metrics to drive performance goals.
In her new roles as Workforce Development Director, Melani will be overseeing three key aspects of our Ready4Work – Career Development, Vocational Training, and Employment Services. We are so thrilled to have her bring her keen management skills, dedicated commitment, and many years of experience working with our formerly incarcerated population to the new role. Congratulations Melani!
We provide support, life and job skills training for people affected by the criminal justice system and place them in employment that offers a sustainable quality of life.
