Ready4Work Graduates are on the RISE

Operation New Hope is excited to be partnering with the City of Orlando to ensure our Ready4Work graduates are on the RISE! Clients who successfully complete our Ready4Work Orlando Career Development program and take advantage of additional Career and Technical training can earn additional stipends to support their Second Chance journey to a new career and better life.

The RISE Employment & Training Program is a City of Orlando initiative hosted in partnership with CareerSource Central Florida to ensure Orlando’s residents impacted by COVID-19 have equitable access to opportunities for assessment, education, training, coaching and support services to measurably increase their employability.

Pictured  here is Lorenzo Holmes, a Ready4Work graduate,  who just completed the Pathlight Home culinary training program, and because of his duel registration in Ready4Work and Orlando’s RISE program, he will receive $1000 in vocational training stipends. Lorenzo now has training in meal preparation and presentation, kitchen safety and sanitation, cooking methods and techniques, and kitchen and restaurant dynamics, and is on his way to a great culinary career where he will RISE!
